It's Over, Again.

They started the season on a losing note - and we thought they were dead.

But they came back. They won 4 in a row including surprising victories against the Flyers and Bruins.

And then they fumbled again, badly. And we all declared them dead. And they fired the coach, and we expected things to get better despite the fact that they were clinically dead.

And it got much worse, because the new coach couldn't squeeze a pistachio out of an elephant's ass with this team and the slide continued. They were still very dead.

And then they started to win here and there. But another slide before the all-star break. And dead to us they were.

And then they beat the Red Wings and we thought, hey maybe the deadness isn't' as deceased as we thought. Maybe a pulse we have still.

And they came back from the all-star break and fell on their faces and we knew, for sure this time, they were dead.

And then they rose from the stiffness of lifeless disposition to assert their place in this world. WE ARE NOT DEAD, WE ARE NOT DEAD. IN FACT WE CAN MOVE WITHIN 5 POINTS OF EIGHTH PLACE IF WE BEAT THE WORST TEAM IN THE CONFERENCE, AT HOME WITH A LEAD GOING INTO THE THRID PERIOD AND WASHINGTON ON THE VERGE OF LOSING THEIR GAME.

And they were dead.

This time, it's for real. Don't expect a sequel, it's over. The carcass has been electrocuted. No chance in hel...what's that noise.....?????....!!!!!!

Excellent PS GG, I bet Price looks around the dressing room and wishes he had a machete.

When are we officially declared dead anyways? In March? I know we're fairly screwed now but I'd like to know so I can plan for it. Maybe have a beer or two to toast this lovely season that wasn't.

Up yours 2011-2012.

Amen Darth, take the situation under examination, cup contenders in the two previous years, and bottom feeders now. Its not the players. It was JM inability to adapt. It was his fear of losing, instead of his passion for winning.

And Don Cherry, what did I ever do to you? Do I remind you of a former scatterbrained lover. Maybe your boss cant put together a coherent thought, but we are all Shirley not so serious that you would taut.

I've said this in other forums but I'll say it again: I hope someday someone from the team writes a tell-all book about this season. It's a complete clusterfuck. You'd think they'd succeed by accident once or twice but they can't even do that.

Things are so screwed up that if we do get into the lottery and they "spin the wheel" just as we land on number one the wheel will fall off.

@steve: I'd like to apologize. I was out of line. Categorizing your moronic gibberish as crazy talk was insensitive. We here at the PK'ists promote creativity, even if its byproduct is insanity.

But put yourself in my shoes. Imagine I constantly wrote about the mating ritual of skunks and tried to sell it off as a hockey blog. Wouldn't you be upset? You would take time out of your busy schedule to read it, always hoping to get some useful or entertaining hockey info, only to always be disappointed by the idiotic things I would say.

But something tells me this situation is beyond repair. So let's make a deal. You keep writing your random, insane incoherent and grammatically incorrect comments and I will keep mentioning how ridiculous they are.

Don't forget that pillows read elephant hieroglyphics almost as often as they use coffee as paint thinner.
